Galleiria further explore their sound with the EP Absence of Light. Inspired by the works of An Autumn for Crippled Children, Violet Cold, and Alcest, I sought to embrace melody, with a more obvious uplifting sound; while still adhering to an extreme metal framework.

The EP was conceived and recorded in the space of about a week. Much of the writing was stream of consciousness; in order to retain as much emotion as possible. We've all been through some dark periods in recent months, so I felt the need to bring some light to my music. I lost my father on 14th May this year, and he was very much in my thoughts as I recorded these songs.
